Want to honor your loved ones who are or have battled cancer? Purchase a luminary to commemorate them at this year's MiniTHON Luminary Walk!

IHS Leadership Seminar is hosting our annual MiniTHON. Modeled after Penn State's THON, MiniTHON brings our school community together to raise money for the Four Diamonds Foundation, a program that's mission is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research.

Every year the students of IHS come together for an event where we stand 'For The Kids' and participate in a variety of activities. A portion of the night is dedicated to a luminary walk during which we honor those affected by cancer. We use this time to remember our loved ones: the survivors, the fighters, and the ones who have lost their battles.

It is an important moment of reflection, and we'd like to be able to commemorate as many individuals in our community as possible. If you would like to purchase a luminary in honor of a loved one to be displayed at this year's luminary walk, please let us know below.

Luminaries are $2.00 each. All of the proceeds go directly towards our total funds raised for Four Diamonds.

The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) hosted the District 3 Band Festival at Dubois Area High School.

The Indiana Outdoor School is a collaborative project between local farmers and educators at Nature Works Farm​ and Mother Earth Farm in Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
The Indiana Outdoor School is committed to regrounding the community by:
Connecting children with nature and farm experiences
Inspiring the community on the wonders of the natural world
Modeling responsible care of the earth
Presenting sustainable food systems
Encouraging imaginative play & exploration
Discovering the possibility that we can change the world (through empowering youth)
Creating a space and opportunity to practice kindness to all living things

The IHS music department was represented by 13 outstanding students at the 2023 County Band Festival.  The festival was hosted by Mr. Adam Bukosky at River Valley High School.  Over the course of two days, the students worked with students from across the county to perform a concert Friday evening (1/20).  The guest conductor was Dr. Zach Cheever, director of the IUP Marching Band.  Congrats to our IHS music students!

The Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County present the "My Indiana" Photograph Contest. They are asking what defines Indiana County to you personally. Whether it be festivals, historic sites, landscapes, or even your backyard, anything that makes Indiana County special can be photographed and entered.
