IHS Sends Ten to PMEA District 3 Band Festival

The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) hosted the District 3 Band Festival at Dubois Area High School. IHS was well represented by the following ten students:

Grace Bowersox - Flute

Michael Voorhies - Clarinet

Nadia Goodyear - Alto Saxophone

Emma Sheeran - Bassoon

Samuel Knepper - Trumpet

Abigail Jozefowicz - Trumpet

Joseph Baunoch - Trombone

Jenna McLaine - Euphonium

Adam Lawrence - Tuba

Lee Rosenberger - Tuba

The 145 piece ensemble was directed by guest conductor Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Toven who is currently the director of the West Point Academy Band. Additionally, the students were able to experience the renowned Hellcat Band in masterclasses, clinics, and a performance. This group made up of bugles, fifes, and drums are an elite group of musicians stationed at West Point Academy. Congratulations to all on a fantastic performance and festival!
